Trish Booth

Trish was born in Hillsboro, Oregon. She grew up on her family's wheat and cattle ranch in Montana's Highwood Mountains. The Big Sky Country, along with the ranch buildings, barns, and bunkhouses made a lasting impression. The wide open spaces and abandoned buildings fed the sensibilities of a young imagination. Trish attended the San FranciscoArt Institute, matriculating in 1988. In 2007, she and her husband relocated to Truchas, NM in pursuit of a studio with a view and full-time painting opportunities. This fact also makes her the only Rio Arribian form this years Featured Artists.

Trish’s paintings remind me of one of the most famous artist who lived and worked for many years in northern New Mexico. I mean this as a compliment. Anybody who loves Georgia O’Keeffe will love Trish Booth’ artwork. Indeed, hers is one of my favorite arts style!     Gabriela
