The Santa Fe Society of Artists produced an every weekend show just off
The Plaza, this year entitled Juried Fine Art that attracts tourists,
art patrons AND artists alike!
It's on one of my monthly visits that my head snapped back at what I saw!
The first exhibit on my right was featuring a work in Georgia O'Keeffe Country that I had just backpacked! The color and rendering (reality) were so stark ..it genuinely made my head snap back. It was Tatiana Koch's Pedernal & Road (below).
As I allowed my vision to relax and wonder her incredibly beautiful works, I realized how many of the places Tatiana had chosen (plein air), I had also chosen to hike and or backpack ..so that her work was immediately very familiar and comforting to me.
The locations which my feet had tread and become familiar and the colors true and comforting!
